Most people think they are making a fashion statement with their terrible fashion sense.
1) Don’t be a blind follower of fashionEver see everyone on the streets wearing the same outfit, and laughing to yourself that they are blind followers rather than the latest fashion statement? The real fashion trend setters are those who initiate what to wear. If everyone is copying their styles, mostly likely they will throw their current wear away with disdain. Do this test: Count how many people have been wearing the same outfit as you for the past ten minutes. If the number exceeds five, use your current shirt as a rag to mop your windows.
At Saint Vida, every apparel you see is produced in limited quantity. Thus rest assured that you won’t see many people wearing the same outfits as you when you go on a hot date with that cute guy you been targeting for months. However we can’t guarantee that if you are really down on your luck.
2) Dress comfortably
Dress yourself based on what you think is nice, and not on other people’s opinion. If you are not comfortable with what you are wearing, chances are you will always be conscious of how you look and spend too much time adjusting your attire.
3) Don’t be a sucker for brand name
Conspicuous display of that designer display makes you look silly rather than class. Especially more so when you are wearing a Ferragamo blouse, Fendi Skirt and Gucci bag all at one time. Before purchasing an expensive designer product, ask yourself whether you will buy it if it’s without that Gucci label. If not, most likely it will end up as one of the pile in your wardrobe that is left untouched for the next hundred years. To think that you can spend the money buying more comfy, reliable and stylish Saint Vida clothing at more affordable prices.
4) Never reveal your underwear
This is the deadliest of all sins. You may think it looks sexy but the truth is, you are a miserable tramp trying to look sexy. First start by adjusting your bra-straps so that they won’t hang out of your clothes. Likewise, your under panties should be low rise if your jeans are too. The most disastrous mistake is to wear a G-string visible under white pants.
5) Too many patterns
Don’t wear too many colors at one time, as this will make you look like a parrot. Too many prints also look terrible. Either chooses a pattern on top or below, but not both. To look sleek, it’s best to wear your favorite Saint Vida shirt with a pair of jeans or monotone mini skirt.
6) Wearing the wrong accessories
These minor details often add to your chic factor. Wearing the wrong accessories reflects badly on your taste and spoils the carefully assembled outfit that you spent hours planning. What to accessorize often depends on the matching of colors. For starter, dark colored shoes should not go with light colored clothes and vice versa. Your handbags should match one of the colors of your existing outfits or at least have the same shade.
7) Admit your size
You may feel a sense of satisfaction when you can squeeze into your size 6 which you look awkward in, while leaving your first wife, the size 12 on the racks. After the initial ecstasy, what follow is pain, feeling of discomfort as well as the unsightly bulge of fats hanging out if you are wearing a low rise jeans.
