Power of the Force Vintage Amanaman Action Figure

Amanman the Head Hunter

Amanaman (Jabba's Palace Resident)

Amanman is only seen standing to the right of Jabba the Hutt in his Court as R2-D2 the Astromech Droid and C-3PO arrived. He was next to the Carbonite encased body of Captain Han Solo. Amanaman wielded a staff with the trophies of human skulls and other bones or remains which is a testament of his hunting skills.

The Amanin are platyhelminths from Maridun which is a planet that has two types of terrain: forrests where the natives reside usually in moist locations such as caves or areas near water and vast open plains.  They are known as Head Hunters and the Yellow Green coloring of their bodies aid them in self camouflage from their intended prey.  A very popular character to collect, this figure is known as the "last 17" of the series that was sold along with the rest of the very scarce figures.

Amanaman (1985)

Amanaman with Brown Headhunter Staff with White Skulls and Special Aluminum Collectors Coin was only sold on the:

  • Power of the Force Card

Amanaman was sold on a 92 Back. What is a 92 back one might ask? The answer is simple. Turn over the carded Star Wars action figure and count the number of characters on the back of it.

Kenner Stock Number: 93740

Power of the Force:

  • 92 Back

Amanaman only appeared on the Power of the Force card. The scene depicted on the card shows him standing against a wall in Jabba the Hutts Palace on planet Tatooine. The background is very light with the texture of the wall depicted.

Trivia Fact:

Nearly half of the 62 coins could only be obtained through mailaway offers. Whole sets were sold for $29.00 by Kenner for customers who wrote in. The company never announced this information publicly though.
