Many of us, due to busy schedule, more often than not, tends not to do the necessary steps to take care of our skin. On other ocassions, not just that, we further 'abuse' our skin by not eating well, not sleeping well, allow high stress level to take toll on us and NOT exercising to relax, to detox to stay fit and healthy.
Now, lets address on skin care regimen here first.
Regardless how young or old you are, regardless whether you have sensitive skin or blessed with normal skin type, all of us DO NEED to follow the basic skin care regime to take care of our skin. Otherwise, we will age... skin condition deteriorates faster that we can imagine.
The truth is, many of us are not blessed with flawless beautiful skin, hence, more so, we need to attend to our skin and NOT to neglect them.
As we speak, our biological clock is ticking away......
Basic Skin Care Regimen
1. Use a make-up remover to remove our make-up (if you put on make-up)
2. Use a cleanser
3. Use a toner
4. Use a moisturiser
Note: don't forget your neck region. Strangely, most people just forget.
Additional Tips:
1. Use a facial scrub on a weekly basis to exfoliate dead cells so that your daily skin care products can be absorbed better. Note: this is NOT aaplicable for skin with acne/breakouts or sensitive skin.
2. Hydrating facial mask is always good. If you can afford the tme, you may do that on alternate days. Otherwise, at least once a week.
3. Sunblock ought to be used while you are outdoor, regardless whether it is a bright sunny day or just a cloudy day. The UV rays are still there.
4. Skin lightening/whitening products are to be used to prevent or lighten/whiten sunspots, age spots.
5. Collagen-rich serum would be good to prevent/minimise wrinkles on the face.
Note: analysis of the skin type has to be made before deciding on what types of products are suitable for the skin type and how to go about using them. Day & Night care is to be in placed to maximise results.
Other than the face, it is just as important to take care of our body skin.. hands and feet. Just like the face, it is good to use a body scrub once or twice a week followed by a body mask. After each bath, it is important to apply moisturiser on the entire body.
Again, analysis has to be made to decide how rich the moisturiser got to be to address the moisture level of our body skin.
If we can afford the itme, a regular massage is good for pamper and nourish the body skin. Also, it can also help to fight cellulite if a suitable product is used. Cellulite is women's great enemy.
Last but not least, as said, diet and regular exercise do play a role to better our skin condition and to make us look younger than our age. Hence they have to work in tandem with our daily skin care regime in order to attain BEST results.
