Star Wars Saga Action Figures2002-2003

Admiral Ozzel

     Born on the planet of Carida, he served as an instructor at the Imperial Academy on Coruscant. He was the presiding officer at Han Solo's court-martial for saving Chewbacca. Assigned Commander of the Super Star Destroyer, the Executor when it was launched. His second in command was Firmus Piett. With the death of Admiral Griff which led to a a power vacuum after the destruction of the first Death Star.

     Ozzel was promoted to admiral and commander of the Death Squadron. There were rumours that he was a Rebel sympathizer. Piett became the captain of the Star Destroyer,Executor. Prior to the Battle of Hoth, Piett's staff received a transmission from a probe droid suggesting that the Rebel Base was indeed on the frigid ice cold planet Hoth.

     Ozzel disagreed with the information sent by the Probe Droid. Darth Vader ordered the Imperial Fleet to Hoth. Ozzel alerts the Rebels by bringing the fleet out of hyperspace too quickly. Vader furious with his actions kills him with a "Force Chokehold" and promotes Piett from the rank of Captain to that of an Admiral.

Chewbacca (Mynock Hunt)

     Chewbacca's native language is Shyriiwook, while Solo always speaks to Chewie in Basic. Prior to meeting Solo, Chewbacca and Wookie General Tarful were both important contributing factors in the Battle of Kashyyyk in order for Yoda to escape in Star Wars, Revenge of the Sith, Episode III.

     After rescuing Leia from the Death Star, Han flies into an asteroid field of what was once known as planet Alderaan, Leia's home planet. Solo moves in close to one of the asteroids and lands inside of it. Undergoing repairs on the Falcon, Leia alerts Han that there is something outside. Han, Chewie and Leia go outside to investigate and find Mynocks attached to the Falcon. They are feeding off the electrical currents of the spaceship.

Darth Maul (Sith Training)

     Kidnapped as an infant from his parents by Darth Sidious, Maul soon learns the ways of the Sith and undergoes intense Sith training. Sidious left him on a planet in the Outer Rim and hundreds of Assassin Droids hunted him down. He passed this test by defeating them and coming close to killing Sidious. He was named Darth Maul, soon he was traveling across the galaxy as an enforcer for Sidious by collecting debts and as an assassin for covert missions.
 

Darth Vader (Bespin Duel)

     The Emperor feared Luke Skywalkers powers, Vader recognized this fact also and made a statement to Luke that they could bring and end to the useless conflict between them. Vader asks Luke to join him in the dark side of the Force. Luke grasping his cut off hand, takes a leap and plunges down the bowels of Bespins Cloud City instead. 
 

Ephant Mon

     The only one that Jabba the Hutt trully trusted was a Chevin gunrunner named Ephant Mon who Jabba saved on a frozen planet by protecting him with the warmth of his body. His job was the Head of Security at Jabba's Palace. Mon's belief in the "Force" was so strong that he heeded Luke Skywalkers warning that Jabba would die. Mon also tried to warn a strong headed Jabba who simply refused to listen. After Jabba's death, Mon joined a religion who worshipped the "Force".
 

Han Solo (Endor Raid)

      Han and his Strike Team land on the moon of Endor and at first run into trouble with the local tribe of Ewoks. The two forces join in the fight against the Empire. Han and his team delivers a crucial blow to the Shield Generator in order for the Rebel fleet to strike at the Death Star.
 

Han Solo (AT-ST Driver, Endor Raid)

     Part of the success of Han's mission on the moon of Endor was when Chewbacca appropriated an AT-ST Walker. Han disguised himself as the driver. He quickly informs the Officer in charge of the Shield Generator that the battle is over and the Rebels are fleeing into the woods. The officer makes the mistake of opening the bunker and is quickly overwhelmed by Rebel forces.
 

Lando Calrissian

     Lando Calrissian is commissioned as a General in the Republic after his job as System Administrator of Bespin's Cloud City is quickly brought to a rapid end by the Empire. Lando leads a Strike team in attacking the second Death Star. With the success of Han's Strike team in bringing down the Shield Generator, the Death Star's main core reactor is attacked and destroyed.
 

J'Quille

     This character was seen lurking on Jabba's Sail Barge with Saelt Marae (Yak Face) with all of the other seedy characters who ususally hid in the shadows. This was an opportunity for the manufacturer to create yet another character from Star Wars, Return of the Jedi, Episode VI. This is a perfect example of my statement about new characters released.   

Snowtrooper

     Imperial Snowtroopers made their debut on the ice cold planet of Hoth, home of the Wampa snow creature who  almost made a quick meal out of Luke Skywalker. General Veers lands his ground troops for an assault after Admiral Ozzel alerted the Rebels by coming out of Hyperspace too quickly.

     Snowtroopers wear specialized custom armor which is well suited for the extreme climates such as Hoth. The armor that they wear is created of a tough white colored type of durable plastic. Additionally, the suit incorporates fabric overgarments that contain heat. Terraingripping boots for the slippery combat conditions are also utilized. Standard Blaster Rifles are used in battle, special teams used heavy repeating blasters mounted on Tripods complemented by AT-AT Walkers with their crews.
